Hi, I'm Kat.

I'm a Senior Product Designer based in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

I started my career in graphic design and eventually found my way into UX after realizing I was just as interested in how things work as how they look. What began as a curiosity about websites and digital products grew into a career designing experiences that help people accomplish what they need to do with less friction and frustration.

Over the last few years, I've worked on healthcare and enterprise products, partnering with product teams, developers, and stakeholders to untangle complex problems and turn them into practical, user-friendly solutions. I enjoy digging into messy workflows, asking questions, and finding ways to make complicated systems feel a little more intuitive.

My background in visual design still influences the way I work today. I care about thoughtful interactions and clear communication, but I'm also someone who likes understanding the bigger picture and how all the pieces fit together.

When I'm not designing, you'll probably find me painting, working on a home renovation project, trying a new recipe, or spending time with my pets & loved ones. Creating things has always been a big part of who I am, whether it's a digital product, a piece of art, or something around the house.
